Franz Ferdinand
The Cooperage
Tuesday 8 p.m. At last, someone is surpassing the boundaries of
garage rock, and they come from Scotland. Franz Ferdinand maintains
what was good about the revival in the first place, but hikes it up
a notch with its quirky attitude and arty personality. UCLA Campus
Events Commission brings the four Scottish rockers for a free
concert, one of the only two in California they have scheduled for
their international tour. For more information go to

Jazz at the Grand Salon Series
Kerckhoff Hall Young Grand Salon
March 18, 8 p.m. Tenor saxophonist Robert Stewart and other local
jazz musicians continue the four-concert series put on by the
Student Committee for the Arts. Tickets are $15, student tickets
are $7. For more information go to http://www.sca.ucla.edu.
