Which of the eight Democratic candidates has the best chance of
beating Bush? James Crofts Second-year, electrical
engineering

“I do not think that any of the Democrats have anything more
then an outside chance in beating Bush. But I guess the
front-runner, Howard Dean, has the best chance.”

Ken Yuan Fifth-year, electrical engineering

“I have not really followed the candidates very much, but I
have read a lot about (Gen.) Wesley Clark.”

Sam Irvine Graduate student, computer
science

“I would say Kerry or Dean, but Kerry would be my first pick.
Kerry has the efficacy, he has been to war, he can debate well, he
is doing much better in the polls now. Kerry is my man
now.”

Virginia Huynh Second-year, biology

“I think that the gap between Bush and the Democratic
candidates is fairly large in the polls, so none of them have a
very good chance.”
