What new stores would you like to see in Westwood Village to
replace recently closed stores? Amy Eng Third-year,
molecular, cell and developmental biology
“I think
there are a lot of small food stores, but I’d like to see
bigger chains. I usually don’t go shopping there (for other
things).” Matt Willgenburg First-year, electrical
engineering
“I’m not much of a big spender but
I’d like cheap clothes stores … like Old Navy. … I get my
pants there (for) like 20 bucks.” Eddie Legaspi
Fifth-year, biochemistry
“I know that Westwood
Village has more personality because there are small business
owners. I’d like to see the big retailers move out. “¦
Get Best Buy out of here, get Ralphs out of here.”
Phoebe Chang UCLA alumna “I want to see
cheap grocery stores and maybe cool bookstores, like in other
college towns. They have really nice, old, used books.”
