In leading UCLA to the 2003 NCAA women’s gymnastics
championship, Kate Richardson was a staple in the Bruin lineup.
The freshman from Canada fit right in with UCLA’s
tradition of excellence, holding the top scores in the nation on
the balance beam for much of the year.
Richardson was a consistent all-around competitor for UCLA and
capped her impressive season with two NCAA individual titles.
She captured titles on the balance beam and on the bars, sharing
the latter with teammate Jamie Dantzscher.
