An oddity in the realm of NBA tribute pages, basketball fans in
Japan have pieced together their interpretation of American hoops
in this curious site.

What’s curious about it, aside from the unintelligible
Japanese characters, is what our Eastern brethren interpret as the
most important aspects of the NBA.

Across the top of the screen are links to: AND 1, Nike,
Reebok/Adidas, an “NBA report,” and Shop Info ““ a
map to their store location (it’s across from the 7-11).

OK, so Japan likes its shoes. But the “NBA report”
is quite a stretch.

Ever want to see Michael Jordan, in a Wizards uniform, dribbling
the ball on the free throw line? Apparently Japan does. Click the
first link on the “NBA report” page.

In fact, most of the photos on this page focus on mediocre
players in their pre-game warmup outfits, and oddly, the Denver
Nuggets’ mascot.

So check this site and go buy some shoes.
