Petty theft

Over the week seven backpacks were reported stolen on
campus.

On May 14, someone attempted to remove food from the Santa
Monica Medical Center cafeteria. The property was recovered.

On May 13, a wallet containing $30 was stolen from the
Biomedical Library.

Grand theft

During the course of the week four cars were reported
vandalized.

On May 15, a $3,000 laptop computer was taken from a
construction trailer on the 600 block of Charles E. Young Drive
South, without any sign of forced entry.

On the evening of May 14, $440 was stolen from a building on the
700 block of Tiverton.

Between the evening of May 13 and the morning of May 14, $920
worth of video games, DVDs and other property was stolen from an
apartment on the 600 block of Kelton. There was no sign of forced
entry.

Miscellaneous

On May 15, a suspect made threats over the phone and through
e-mail to someone at the Center for Health Sciences.

That morning two people fought near the creek in the Botanical
Gardens, and one was seen holding the other down.

Later that afternoon a puppy was found left in a car at Lot 3
with the windows rolled up. It was parked in the shade with food
and water left inside.

That night graffiti was discovered in Lot 1.

On May 14, someone reported toilets being
“maliciously” clogged in Powell Library.

Also on May 14, a woman reportedly removed her pants and laid
down on the grass near the Center for Health Sciences building, but
was not there when police arrived.

On May 13, an ATM machine at the University Credit union was
smashed.

Also on that day someone reported a possible stalker at the
Kinross Building.

Early that morning it was reported that a few girls toilet
papered an apartment complex at the corner of Levering and
Roebling.

That night a woman in an orange top attempted to trespass at the
Neuropsychiatric Institute. She had been advised the previous day
not to return.
