This Web site is a database that has compiled tales of the
greatest rivalries in the sports world. The Web site lists its Top
10 Greatest Rivalries; Michigan v. Ohio State is No. 1. One local
team made the top 10 ““ the Dodgers’ rivalry with the
Giants is the 10th best. Readers can submit their own vote, and the
site also features links to other rivalry compilations, like
ESPN.com’s list.

There are some pretty offbeat rivalries, too, like Pete
Rose-Major League Baseball. Here’s an excerpt from that
article: “For the Hall of Fame to change its rules that no
one banned from baseball can get into the Hall after baseball’s
decision on Pete is shameful. It’s even more shameful when you
consider that the Hall of Fame is loaded with racists, druggies,
and wife beaters that Pete Rose isn’t enshrined. To all who visit,
don’t most people get a second chance in life?”
