Men’s golf play suspended after three
holes
First round play of the NCAA West Regional at
the Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, Washington was twice
suspended for more than an hour due to rain, hail and
lightning.  The UCLA men’s golf team barely got the
chance to get its feet wet in the tournament. Most of the
Bruins have only finished three holes. However, the Bruins’
three-under total was still good enough to give them a one-shot
lead over second-place Arizona.  UCLA junior John Poucher was
two-under after four holes and is the early tournament leader. The
No. 2 Bruins are the pre-tournament favorites, and the top 10 teams
will advance to the NCAA Championships. Play will resume today,
weather permitting.
