With alumni currently on the Laker Girls, Clipper Girls and
other professional cheer organizations, becoming a member of Yell,
Mascot, Cheer or Dance in the UCLA Spirit Squad is a coveted
opportunity. Despite the uncertainty of scholarships and grueling
hours of practice, over 115 UCLA students from April 21 to 27 went
through more than 25 hours of clinics in preparation for 15 hours
of judging in hopes of becoming one of the 2003-2004 UCLA Spirit
Squad’s 32 members.
