How many Undergraduate Students Association Council members can
you name? Paul Shirk
First-year, undeclared
“I think I know of one, but I couldn’t tell you his
exact name. I think it’s David Wally or something, and
that’s all I know about USAC. So I would say that they
aren’t in touch with students, but it’s partially my
fault because I don’t care.” Dat Ha
Third-year, biochemistry
“I know of one ““ Susan something. I don’t read
the paper as much as I should. But I have heard about meetings, and
I guess I could go to find out more, if I really wanted to.”
Zoe Griffith
First-year, anthropology
“Zero, because I don’t know what USAC is. I suppose
they are not really in touch with students. But I don’t
really pay that much attention either, or read the paper as often
as I should.” Amy Gitcho
Fourth-year, psychology
“I can name none. Obviously, they really aren’t in
touch with the student body if I can’t even name one
member.” Lauren Birchfield
First-year, undeclared
“I can name none. I don’t really know anything about
USAC. But I am sure they are doing a great job behind the scenes.
And it’s not really necessary that all the students know who
they are.” Manning Yuan
Third-year, mechanical engineering
“I know Adam Pearlman. He was my roommate first year and
that’s how I know him. I can’t even tell you what USAC
means. If students want to get involved, then they will find out
about USAC on their own.” Compiled by KELSEY HICKS/Daily
