Dear Loyal Readers,
This is it, ladies and gents: the first issue of dB
Magazine.
The theme, if we want to be so transparent as to pretend a
single theme could embody this complex free-flowing entity, is
spring. From a romantic blind date centering around stalkers to new
film previews to an ultimately satisfying and life-affirming list
of some of the biggest and best events happening during this the
time of blue jays and baby-making. Spring, my friends, is in the
air (and the dB Magazine).
Like the reemergence of Persephone from Hades with the end of
each winter, this is only the beginning of dB’s time in the
sun. The more of you who pick this naughty little magazine up, the
bigger and bolder it will become.
So, let’s spring forward (yes, we are attempting to win
the cheesiest line of the year award, so calm down; this is really
all just a post-nihilist manifesto meant to deconstruct meaning)
together and make this the best darned magazine you’ve ever
seen. So tell your friends and enemies and pick us up every
Thursday.
Thanks and good night,
““Your loving A&E Staff Editors
