UCLA women’s basketball broadcaster

At UCLA: Set the NCAA record for home runs (90) and highest
slugging percentage (.945) in four years (1997-2002) as the
Bruins’ starting catcher. Was named Pac-10 Player of the Year
each of her last three years. Redshirted in 2000 to start for the
USA Olympic softball team.

Since UCLA: Still works on campus as the color analyst for UCLA
women’s basketball broadcasts for UCLA radio. Qualified for
the national softball team in September and is currently training
in preparation for the 2004 Olympics. On Sunday, Nuveman was
presented the NCAA Today’s Top VIII Award for academic and
athletic achievement at the NCAA’s annual convention in
Anaheim.
