Would you be offended if someone were to dress up as
Osama bin Laden for Halloween? Maria
Rodic Graduate student Education “No I
wouldn’t be offended because I think it’s a personal
choice. If they’re doing it because he’s come up [in
the news] recently, that’s ok, but if they had some sort of
political [motive] then I don’t know. Just as long as
they’re not worshiping him ““ because that’s a
problem.” Mari Kojiro First-year Chemistry
“Yes, because he’s a terrorist and we shouldn’t
condone terrorist activity here in the United States. It’s
not funny. I would also want to know the reasoning behind
why a person would dress up as bin Laden.”
Kelsey Kolberg Fourth-year English
“Definitely. I just don’t think it’s appropriate
at this time. I think by dressing up as bin Laden it’s making
light of the subject at hand. I don’t think this is the time
and place for joking around. No matter who did it, I would tell him
that I don’t think it’s appropriate.”
Hector Maciel Campus visitor “I would cuss
him out because it’s not right. What happened was a tragedy.
If I had a party, everybody would try to kick his ass.”
