Trilambs? Tri-lame.

But it was lame on purpose. Which makes it … funny?

Funnier than the rhymes about gay sex, the “booby”
backup singers and the fact that this debauchery was actually
happening on the ultra-hip Whiskey A-Go-Go stage, were the
fans.

There were actually people there that not only got the jokes,
but knew every word to the absurd songs.

The audience couldn’t help but laugh.

The Trilambs, led by Soon Hey and Matty Boom, brings dancing,
parodies and even a few flamboyantly gay rappers to its live show,
all just for giggles.

The show was almost too unbelievably ridiculous to be true.

The Trilambs is definitely big on gimmicks. They brought out the
band’s two “lawyers” during the middle of the
show for an announcement: “Sampling is serious. If anybody
samples the Trilambs, we will prosecute to the full extent of the
law.”

This comes after The Trilambs has just stolen songs from U2,
Simon and Garfunkel, Shaggy and several others.

The funniest part about the whole experience was the utter
lameness.

“I am the Gary Condit of hip-hop: I am political and
people are always asking me about missing Jewish girls,”
Matty Boom told the crowd.

Most everyone left laughing, but was it really worth it? Were
they laughing with them or at them? Either way, The Trilambs is
doing its job.
