Metro Red Line service interrupted, possible closure

The Los Angeles Police Department will be doing a precautionary
search of the Metro
Red Line Subway at 1 p.m. today, according to the Metropolitan
Transportation Authority.

The MTA said it hasn’t received any threats, but due to
the search, the MTA will experience service disruptions and
closures for approximately an hour that could affect the entire
Metro Red
Line subway.

The LAPD said they may shut down the Red Line for the rest of
the day.
