The meeting of the UC Board of Regents scheduled for Wednesday
and Thursday has been moved from Covel Commons to the James West
Alumni Center because of the large amount of expected
protesters.

The move was made to avoid disrupting students in the residence
halls. A loudspeaker will be setup outside the Alumni Center to
broadcast the meeting.

The proper time to address the issue of repealing SP-1 and 2,
the UC policies banning affirmative action throughout the
university, is at the Thursday public comment period, the
announcement of the change said.
