Back in action

The Boston Celtics announced today that Jerome Moiso (’00)
has been activated from the injured list.

Moiso missed the Celtics’ last five games due to an ankle
sprain he suffered on Nov. 1. The former UCLA center was the
Celtics’ first round pick in the 2000 NBA Draft and has
played in four games this season, averaging 8.3 minutes per
game.

Steroid suspension

The NBA announced yesterday that 6-foot-10 Don MacLean of the
Miami Heat has been suspended for five games without pay for
violating the league’s steroids policy.

While at UCLA, MacLean (’92), amassed 2,608 points to
become the all-time leading scorer at UCLA. He is one of four
Bruins to have led his squad three straight years in scoring. The
other three are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Walton and Reggie
Miller.
