2 Bruins named All-Americans

Second baseman Lyndsey Klein and shortstop Natasha Watley were
named National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Americans on
Wednesday. Klein, a senior, started every game for the Bruins this
year and was hitting .373 entering the College World Series, which
started Thursday in Oklahoma City. She also led the team in RBIs
with 56. Watley, the only true freshman on the All-American team,
became the first UCLA freshman to earn first team All-American
honors since Stacey Nuveman in 1997. She is leading the team in
batting at .434, and in just one season has broken the
school’s season and career records for stolen bases with 32.
