General Representative

My name is Dan Nicolae Moroaica and I am seeking the office of
general representative here at UCLA. Why should you even consider
voting for an independent first-year student? Well, I am here to
show you that I am the one person with the ambition and experience
for office life.
I have interned for state assemblymen, directed several youth
councils in my hometown of Downey, and have had an interest in
politics since middle school. Thus, you may choose either
unambitious, untrained candidates on slates or you may choose me,
an experienced student with only the good of the campus in his
heart.
I have looked at our election process, and the amount of
bureaucratic garbage is too much to take. I was hoping to
participate in an election in which corruption and reputations
would be put on hold. But I have seen that such demons have
infiltrated even our beautiful school. I am an outsider to such
bureaucracy. I have no slate and am simply a student, just like all
of you.
I was not handed a lovely inheritance and left to do as I please
here at UCLA. Instead, I work to support myself (like many of you)
right here on campus. I care for this school, and about the issues
that affect us. Whether it is the criminal increase in parking
fees, outrageously low-valued dorm meal coupons or the general use
of our tuition, I will get involved in such issues and try to bring
only the best for UCLA. Remember, that on voting day, I (Dan
Nicolae Moroaica) am one of you, and can help direct USAC toward a
better future.
