Baron Davis has surgery

On Tuesday, UCLA freshman point guard Baron Davis underwent
successful surgery on his left knee. Davis tore his left anterior
cruciate ligament during the first half of UCLA’s win over Michigan
in the NCAA tournament. The Los Angeles Lakers’ team doctor,
Stephen Lombardo, performed the procedure yesterday morning at the
Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center. Coach Lavin was optimistic regarding
Davis’ return.

"Obviously we are very happy that Baron’s surgery was
successful. All of us in the Bruin basketball family will be
helping him with his rehabilitation. That’s the most important
thing now that the surgery is over."
