Crime Watch

Several large thefts were reported over the break. An EKG
monitor valued at $18,000 was taken from the Center for Health
Sciences at 10833 Le Conte. The crime was reported April 1.

In addition, several computers and video projectors were stolen
from Boelter Hall. Police have no suspects in this crime, which was
also reported April 1.

A break-in occurred at 11140 Rose Street, where an unknown
suspect took clothes, a fax machine and a calculator, a total value
of at $780.

Mail valued at $800 was stolen from a locked mailbox at 886
Hilgard Ave. on March 31.

One suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a
robbery that took place at the Peter V. Uebberoth building on Le
Conte. The robbery took place at 10 p.m. March 30. Police booked a
CD as evidence.

Vandalism reported in Boelter Hall over the break amounted to a
window being smashed, a door lock being punched in, and hinges
being ripped off of another door. This was first reported on March
31.

Some children were "warned and advised" when they were found
"skateboarding loudly" in Lot 5 on March 31 at 8:30 p.m.

The police were called by Eric Jager, an associate professor of
English.

Five parking permits were stolen over the past week. Three of
those were taken from cars parked in Lot 2, one from Lot 6, and one
from the victim’s purse in the biomedical center library.
