Car burglaries were also the crime of choice last Wednesday in

a.m. and 1 p.m. a thief pried open the driver’s side door and

Arrests

Last Thursday, university police, under direction of detectives
Terry Brown and Debbie Mills, arrested a former UCLA employee on
charges of embezzlement and theft.

Police arrested Marena Keyes at her home in Inglewood after a
warrant search produced $10,000 in goods allegedly bought with
embezzled money. Police charge that Keyes diverted University
Credit Union checks to her own accounts by using phony
identification. Keyes was released on bail.
