UCLA sophomore Erica Gomez tore her ACL on Tuesday while playing
a pick-up game in Pauley Pavilion. Gomez, the Bruins’ leader in
assists as a freshman last year, is expected to miss the upcoming
1996-97 basketball season. She underwent an MRI on Wednesday which
confirmed the injury.
