Junior center Joshua Smith leaves UCLA basketball program

For the second time in less than a week, the UCLA men’s basketball team has announced that one of its players is leaving the program.   • The council unanimously approved weekly contingency allocations.
  • Councilmembers decided to work on drafting a poll that will ask students how they would like to see USAC discretionary funds used.
  • USAC members discussed ways to educate students about the vandalism found on a Vietnamese Student Union sign outside the student organization’s office in Kerckhoff Hall Tuesday, as well as other incidents of campus climate.

A common college adage warns against living with one's best friends, but four Levering Heights residents defy conventional wisdom. Meet Alanah, Amanda, Allie and Anne. The four girls are seniors, members of the UCLA marching band, Kappa Kappa Psi sisters, close friends and roommates. Their alliterative names have earned the quartet as collective nickname: "The A-Train."
