Inventathon participants convened in the California NanoSystems Institute this weekend to propose solutions for medical needs. Teams of students attended the two-day hackathon hosted by the UCLA Business of Science Center to pitch and create concepts and products to solve unmet clinical needs. They worked with mentors ranging from chief executive officers of biotechnology startups to professors and physicians from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The event was open to the public.
