Senior forward Tony Parker was one of 20 players named to the Malone Award Watch List Tuesday, kicking off the preseason awards for UCLA men’s basketball.

The award, named for NBA star Karl Malone, recognizes the best power forward in the nation.

Parker played in 34 of UCLA’s 36 games last year, averaging 11.5 points and 6.7 rebounds.

Parker is the lone player remaining of a No. 1 recruiting class that included Shabazz Mohammed, Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams, all of whom now play in the NBA.
