A bomb threat was reported on Kelton Avenue Wednesday afternoon, prompting residents to leave their buildings.

The Los Angeles Police Department received a call around noon reporting a suspicious package, said the department’s spokesperson.

The spokesperson added that a stretch of Kelton Avenue, starting from its intersection at Gayley Avenue, will be closed until the LAPD determines the package is not a threat.

Anyone with information about this case can call LAPD at 310-444-0702.
