The undergraduate student government Student Wellness Commission will host at panel on anxiety disorders Thursday evening in Royce Hall.

The panel of four students will discuss their experiences with generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. After the students share their stories, audience members can ask questions during a short discussion section.

This event is part of a series of panels called Speak Your Mind, which aims to address various mental health issues. The commission has hosted previous panels about topics such as suicide, mental health and the transition into college as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Active Minds, a committee within the Student Wellness Commission, collaborated with the All of Us campaign, a cooperative project between the commission and the General Representative 1 office, to host the series. Both organizations aim to change the way UCLA students view and discuss mental health.

“We hope to continue these events next year as well,” said Nicole Moreland, a fourth-year psychology student and organizer of the series. “We are always looking to add new events and expand on the current ones.”
