UCLA football will begin spring practice on March 31 and hold 14 practices at Spaulding Field before the Spring Showcase at the Rose Bowl on April 25.

All spring practices will be open to the public. However, after the bleachers were removed from Spaulding Field early last season, there will only be standing room for fans.

Spring practice will be the first opportunity to see several new UCLA players, including highly touted freshman quarterback Josh Rosen and offensive tackle Zach Bateman, a junior college transfer. Rosen and Bateman both enrolled at UCLA beginning winter quarter.

Other members of the 2015 recruiting class that coach Jim Mora said on National Signing Day he anticipated might be enrolled for spring quarter and able to participate in spring practices are three-star safety Nathan Meadors, four-star outside linebacker Josh Woods and three-star defensive back William Lockett.

UCLA’s spring practice schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, March 317 a.m.
Thursday, April 27 a.m.
Saturday, April 49:30 a.m.
Monday, April 64:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 87 a.m.
Thursday, April 97 a.m.
Saturday, April 119:30 a.m.
Monday, April 134:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 157 a.m.
Thursday, April 167 a.m.
Saturday, April 189:30 a.m.
Monday, April 204:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 227 a.m.
Thursday, April 237 a.m.
Saturday, April 2510 a.m. (Spring Showcase)

Kevin McReynolds transfer

Redshirt senior defensive lineman Kevin McReynolds announced on his Facebook and Twitter that he will transfer to the University of Nevada-Reno for his final season of eligibility. McReynolds played sparingly during the 2014 season, only seeing time on special teams.

The University of Nevada-Reno confirmed McReynolds’ transfer Wednseday afternoon. McReynolds will graduate from UCLA this spring before transferring programs.
