University police released a sketch Wednesday of a man wanted for entering a UCLA student apartment in September while the residents were asleep.

The man was described as Asian, about 5-foot-6 with short black hair and in his mid-20s. He had a slim build and a dark complexion, and was seen wearing a black T-shirt with white writing, dark shorts and dark tennis shoes, according to a UCPD alert.

About 4:45 a.m. on Sept. 26, the man entered a student apartment at 510 Kelton Avenue, then ran to the back of the building, police said. He did not take anything, and the UCLA students in the apartment were asleep.

Police said the man pried and bent an apartment window screen during the burglary. Witnesses told police they saw the man leave the apartment, and he was last seen near the corner of Kelton Avenue and Ophir Drive.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about the burglaries can call UCPD at (310) 825-1491.
