UCLA Transportation officials plan to reopen the two parking structures that were affected by last week’s flood in several stages and have them fully open in time for fall quarter.

Parking Structures 4 and 7 remain closed to the public as of Friday.

The upper and lower levels of Parking Structure 4 East will reopen Monday to select permit holders, according to an update posted Friday. Other areas of the parking structures will remain closed until officials deem them safe to use.

About 1,000 cars were trapped in the two lots after millions of gallons of water from a broken pipe under Sunset Boulevard flowed onto campus July 29. About seven tow trucks removed the trapped cars, several of which were fully submerged after the flood. Many of the cars have since been retrieved by their owners.
