Stan’s Donuts in Westwood Village will celebrate its 50th anniversary Saturday morning with discounted donuts and a ceremony.

Stan’s Donuts will roll its prices back to what they were 50 years ago – 10 cents apiece – in honor of the anniversary, said Steve Sann, chairman of the Westwood Community Council.

Councilman Paul Koretz and Mayor Eric Garcetti’s offices each will present gifts to Stan Berman, owner of Stan’s Donuts. The Los Angeles City Council will also officially declare May 3 Stan’s Donuts Day.

Stan’s Donuts will also give away free 50th anniversary t-shirts to the first 500 customers and free coffee mugs to the first 300 customers who purchase coffee.

A Westwood Organized Meaningful Projects event was originally scheduled for Saturday, but will be rescheduled for May 31 to commemorate the 50th anniversary, Sann said.

The festivities will begin at 9 a.m. in front of Stan’s Donuts on the corner of Weyburn and Broxton avenues.
