UCLA’s Kyle Anderson, Jordan Adams named to All-Pac-12 first team

Sophomore guard/forward Kyle Anderson and sophomore guard Jordan Adams have been named to the All-Pac-12 first team, the conference announced Monday.
The duo has combined for 32.4 points per game this season. Anderson ranks top-five among all Pac-12 players in rebounds, assists and steals and ranks first in the conference with 15 double-doubles. Adams ranks No. 7 among all Pac-12 scorers with 17.5 points per game and picked up an All-Defensive Team honorable mention along with junior guard Norman Powell.
This marks the second straight year in which two Bruins earned first team honors, as freshman guard/forward Shabazz Muhammad and redshirt senior guard Larry Drew II were both given the distinction at the end of the 2013 Pac-12 season.
Anderson was an All-Pac-12 second team selection and an All-Freshman Team selection last year, while Adams was an honorable mention for the 2013 All-Freshman Team.
Freshmen guards Zach LaVine and Bryce Alford were both named to this year’s All-Freshman Team, combining for 19 points per game off the bench.
Arizona guard Nick Johnson was named Pac-12 Player of the Year, while Arizona State’s Jordan Bachynski was named Defensive Player of the Year. The Wildcats raked in two more awards, with freshman forward Aaron Gordon winning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and coach Sean Miller earning the conference’s John Wooden Coach of the Year award after leading Arizona to a Pac-12 regular season title.
