UCLA men’s basketball trails USC at halftime

UCLA men’s basketball’s “Blue Out” crowd promotion and the team have fallen flat in the first half against the crosstown Trojans.

A 10-3 run toward the end of the half helped give USC a 38-30 lead heading into halftime.

The Trojans shot 50 percent from the field to the Bruins’ 33.3 percent in building their eight-point lead. Questionable coming into the game, freshman guard Shabazz Muhammad and redshirt junior forward Travis Wear both played in the first half. Muhammad has five points on 1-for-5 shooting while Wear has 12 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the field.

During halftime, UCLA legend Reggie Miller will have his No. 31 jersey retired at Pauley Pavilion.
