The Undergraduate Students Association Council is the official student government of UCLA’s undergraduate students. Council meetings are Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Kerckhoff 417 and are open to all students.

Agenda

  • Contingency allocations were approved with a vote of 11-0-0.
  • Capital Items Fund allocations were approved unanimously.

Officer reports

  • President Emily Resnick said her office is putting on a farmer’s market Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. in Bruin Plaza. She also said applications for the community service scholarship will be released soon.
  • Kristina Sidrak, internal vice president, said Ally Week, which seeks to educate students about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, is this week.
  • Kinnery Shah, Cultural Affairs commissioner, said she is working with the Central Ticket Office to give out free tickets for the Jazz Reggae Festival through online reservations so students do not have to camp out overnight.

Special Presentations

  • Chloe Groome, an intern with CALPIRG, said the council’s vote on the plastic bag ban has been postponed until Wednesday.
