UCLA is blown out by Arizona, 48-12

By Daily Bruin Staff

TUCSON, Ariz. “”mdash; If UCLA fans were hoping the first half’s brawl would rally the Bruins for the second half, they’re still hoping.

While the UCLA defense began to make stops, forcing two punts, the offense couldn’t build any momentum leading to a 48-12 loss.

Arizona added two field goals while UCLA was able to force a safety and redshirt junior cornerback Andrew Abbott intercepted Arizona quarterback Nick Foles but outside of that, not much changed since the firework-filled first half.

Senior placekicker Tyler Gonzalez added a 42-yard field goal as the game was winding down, and Kevin Prince was 17-35 for 286 yards with one touchdown on the night.

Arizona quarterback Nick Foles threw three touchdowns of his own, all of them to senior wideout Juron Criner.
