The Bruins will be heading across the Pacific Ocean.
UCLA men’s golf is traveling to Waimea, Hawaii for a three-day tournament, in which it will compete at the 33rd annual Amer Ari Invitational at the Mauna Lani Golf Course.
The Bruins finished a few shots away from victory once again.
UCLA men’s golf finished in a tie for third at the Southwestern Invitational Collegiate with a total score of 9-under 843 on Wednesday.
Half of the Bruins’ lineup will be traveling to the deep valley for the first time.
UCLA men’s golf is heading to the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, California, from Monday to Wednesday.

It was a tournament of firsts for the Bruins.
In a two-day tournament spanning Sunday to Monday, UCLA men’s golf competed in The Copper Cup – its first tournament of the new year – at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona.
The Bruins will embark on a new golfing adventure in the desert.
“We haven’t played a competitive style of alternate shot,” said sophomore Kyle An. “We’ve practiced it before, but we’re basically, honestly, going in kind of blind.”
UCLA men’s golf is gearing up for its first tournament of the new year, in which it will switch up the style of play in a two-day event at The Copper Cup in Maricopa, Arizona.
