Cross country hopes to leave opponents in the dust at Pac-12 championships

UCLA cross country will begin championship season this weekend. Assistant coach Devin Elizondo said the Bruins have been increasing the intensity of their training over the last two weeks in preparation for the Pac-12 championships in Stanford, California, on Friday. Read more...

Cross country utilizes cold weather, traveling opportunity as race preparation

Nationally ranked competition was not the only obstacle UCLA cross country had to compete against last weekend. The Bruins overcame cold conditions and cross-country travel as the men’s and women’s teams earned fourth- and eleventh-place finishes, respectively, at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet. Cross country travels across the nation for meets in Wisconsin and Santa Clara

UCLA cross country will get an opportunity to race against some of the top-ranked teams in the nation. This weekend, the Bruins will be sending a group of runners to compete at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet in Madison, Wisconsin, and at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, California on Saturday. Training camp raises cross country to higher altitudes in early meets

In the weeks leading into the academic year, UCLA cross country runners were given the chance to train like professional athletes. Every year, the team engages in a three-week training camp at Mammoth Lakes, California, for a chance to train at altitude. Read more...
