UCLA men's basketball falls to SDSU

By Daily Bruin Staff

Dec. 1, 2012 9:35 p.m.

UCLA fell to its first ranked opponent tonight, losing 78-69 to SDSU.

The Bruins couldn’t match the intensity and athleticism of the Aztecs in this years’ John Wooden Classic.

After heading into halftime barely ahead, SDSU opened up to a 10-point lead during which UCLA’s defensive flaws were evident in its man-to-man scheme.

Freshman guard Jordan Adams led the Bruins in scoring with 23 points, but Aztec junior forward Jamaal Franklin stole the show, putting up a game-high 28 points.
