Long known for her offensive prowess as a striker on the UCLA women’s soccer team, Sydney Leroux will evidently try her hand at another trade during the soccer offseason.

Leroux made her debut as a member of the No. 2 UCLA softball team during Friday’s game against Florida, pinch-running for freshman catcher Alyssa Tiumalu in the seventh inning. She scored her first career run in the following game against Oklahoma, pinch-running for junior left fielder Andrea Harrison in the fourth inning.

The Bruins split the two games on Friday, losing to the Gators 4-1 before bouncing back to shut out the Sooners 3-0. They suffered their third loss of the season today, a 7-1 defeat against the Tennessee Lady Vols.

UCLA (11-3) wraps up the weekend at the Cathedral City Classic on Sunday when it takes on Northwestern followed by Ohio State.
