Lindsee Bawahab does not plan to quit smoking anytime soon.
Even though a new tobacco-free policy ban will go in effect on campus today, Bawahab said she still plans to go through half a pack every day, maybe even a pack a day during midterms and finals season.

\With the implementation of UCLA’s tobacco-free policy right around the corner, the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center is increasing and promoting on-campus resources for those trying to quit smoking.
As part of a broader push by campus administration to become the “healthiest college campus in the country,” UCLA will become a tobacco-free campus on Earth Day, April 22, 2013, according to an email sent by Chancellor Gene Block to the UCLA community last week.
All University of California facilities will be required to go tobacco-free beginning in 2014, according to a letter UC President Mark Yudof sent to UC chancellors on Monday.
The newly announced ban extends to the sale and advertisement of tobacco on campus.
