In his first career start at home, redshirt junior goalkeeper Andrew Mesesan made six saves in UCLA's 14-6 victory over Loyola Marymount University on Saturday.

Andrew Mesesan wasn't fazed by much Saturday night. His teammate, Matt Rapacz "“ the usual starter in goal "“ sat on the pool deck with a sling protecting his left shoulder. The long-time star goalkeeper for UCLA, Chay Lapin "“ last year's starter in goal "“ sat on the other side of the pool, in the crowd, eagerly cheering his old team on. Bruins hope to have another shot at NCAA title

The UCLA men's water polo team almost reached the summit of the collegiate water polo world in 2009, but not before a few slipups while trying to climb the mountain.
