Training camp raises cross country to higher altitudes in early meets

In the weeks leading into the academic year, UCLA cross country runners were given the chance to train like professional athletes. Every year, the team engages in a three-week training camp at Mammoth Lakes, California, for a chance to train at altitude. Read more...

Freshman cross country runner shines after first-place debut

As far as debuts to a new sport go, things don’t get much better than Gwyneth George’s cross country debut. The freshman earned a first-place finish in the women’s 5K at The Master’s University XC Invite in Santa Clarita, California, with a time of 18:13.3. Read more...

UCLA track and field heads to NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round

The Bruins will send 24 athletes to this week’s NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round as the final descent on the track and field begins. The West Preliminary Round, also known as west regionals, gathers the top 48 track and field athletes of each event from west of the Mississippi River to compete at California State University, Sacramento.
