The Golden State isn’t so golden anymore. According to a
new study, the quality of life in Southern California has eroded
significantly in past years, raising the question: Can the
Governator make good on his promise to improve the state without
raising taxes?

still wants his chalupas.
For those who don’t know, activists are fighting to remove
Taco Bell from campus because the company buys tomatoes from
Florida packing companies accused of unfair labor practices.
Not since Bill Clinton proclaimed his preference for boxer
shorts has political television been this juicy. Unfortunately,
juiciness doesn’t necessarily equal substance.
Last Tuesday, CNN aired its “Rock the Vote” town
hall debate, featuring an audience comprised solely of 18 to 30
year-olds.
Though it’s 2003, it seems the Vatican hasn’t quite
gone through the scientific revolution. Church officials say
condoms are ineffective in preventing the spread of HIV, and that
AIDS “has grown so fast because of the availability of
condoms.”
These baseless claims, which were reported on the BBC program
“Sex and the Holy City,” are irresponsible and pose a
dangerous public health threat, considering the substantial number
of Roman Catholics in the world.
