Choreography students to showcase dances meant to reach a wide audience

World Arts & Cultures Masters of Fine Arts graduate students will be showcasing elements such as beatboxing, film and Vietnamese music alongside their dance pieces at the MFA Choreography Showcase concert this Friday. Allison Wyper, one of the choreographers, shares details about the concert. This Works in Progress Concert, titled “Uncovered,” will be held at Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater at 8 p.m. Feb. 26. Moda Ecole: L.A.-based Haitian-American glove designer sends profits to Haiti

The earthquake in Haiti has personally affected couture glove designer Numa Perrier. As a first generation Haitian American, her parents’ immediate families are those that are lost, those that are suffering and those that have been hit hard by the earthquake.
