Members of the Nikkei Student Union fused dance, taiko drumming, a cappella and history into the group’s 2013 Cultural Night performance in Royce Hall on Feb.

The UCLA Association of Chinese Americans hosted the 23rd annual Chinese American Culture Night on Saturday evening at Royce Hall. The event, titled “Catalyst,” told the story of Vincent Chin, a 27-year-old Chinese American who was beaten to death in 1982. The event also featured performances by dance and musical groups, including YouTube artist Clara Chung.

Over 3,000 volunteers raised over $127,000 in the ninth Annual installment of UCLA’s Relay for Life held at Drake Stadium.
