The Delgado's have tailgated every home game for the last 33 years. Seven members of the family have season tickets. In addition to corn hole, the Delgado's enjoy watching other college football games before entering the Rose Bowl.
Ray Delgado served in the Navy for 24 years before receiving his bachelor’s in anthropology from UCLA in 2015. He is the only member of his family to attend the university.
There are plenty of places for kids to play in Lot H. Bounce houses are set up for kids to jump and have fun in.
The UCLA Alumni Band was formed in 1976 and is comprised of former UCLA marching band members from various graduating classes. They play at every home football game and are usually found rehearsing in the tailgating area. They also play at other sports events such as gymnastics meets, softball games and, most recently, rowing meets.
Robert Dean received his bachelor’s in economics from UCLA in 1985. He played the tuba as a member of the marching band during his four undergrad years.
The Spirit Squad walks around to energize fans by leading 8-claps and taking pictures with fans. They also do a full performance with the Alumni Band for people in the tailgating area.
Derrick Watson (left) and his friends have been tailgating for the past seven years. Their tailgating traditions include grilling sausages and steaks, watching other college football games on their television and drinking beer or soda.
Italian sausages are usually grilled to be served as hot dogs, later enjoyed by Watson and his friends before the game.
Claudia Rodriguez prepares food for her friends and family when they tailgate. Rodriguez has been going to games since 1993.
Madeleine Hulstrom (second from the right) and her friends all graduated from UCLA in 2013 and have been season ticket holders since. They like playing beer pong or rage cage before the game while listening to Bruno Mars on their portable speaker.
Hulstrom and her friends have never missed a home game since graduating, and always tailgate together. They like putting themes on their tailgates to make them more interesting. Before last year's Thanksgiving game versus UC Berkeley, they deep-fried a turkey.
