The annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards were held at UCLA. Preparation for the event included building multiple stages and booths, a process that took multiple days.

The cast of ''School of Rock,'' Nickelodeon's TV series remake of the 2003 movie of the same name, walked down the orange carpet together at the start of the arrivals.

Ella Anderson is child actress currently working on ''Henry Danger,'' a Nickelodeon series about superheroes. She is also well-known for her role as Rachel Rawlings in ''The Boss.''

Shaun White, a highly decorated professional snowboarder and skateboarder, was a participant for the slime games at the show.

Denise Austin and Katie Austin, mother and daughter, are fitness instructors who promote a healthy lifestyle and body positivity.

Russell Wilson, quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, brought his stepson Future Zahir to the big event. Wilson returned as host for the ceremony where he also received the King of Swag award.

Aly Raisman and Simone Biles, both gymnasts, were part of the 2016 American Olympic gymnastics ''Final Five'' team. Apart from the Team USA gold medal they won, Biles and Raisman won the individual gold and silver medals, respectively.

Gabby Douglas is an American artistic gymnast. Douglas participated in the ''beats 'n seats'' game along with other athletes.

Lindsey Vonn, a professional skier, brought her sister, Karin Kildow, to the show. They both ended up posing together down the orange carpet.

Abby Wambach is a retired professional soccer player, as well as a participant for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards show. Wambach brought along her spouse Glennon Doyle Melton and her children. The entire family rocked reflective shades for the orange carpet.

Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson take the Nickelodeon orange carpet. Phelps is the Legend Award recipient for the 2017 Kids' Choice Sports Awards in recognition of his amazing achievements, record Olympic medals, and outstanding sportsmanship.
