Man allegedly commits robbery near Jackie Robinson Stadium

University police are searching for a man who robbed a man near Jackie Robinson Stadium on Saturday.

The man, who is not affiliated with UCLA, was at a baseball game at about 9 p.m. when he was approached by a man with a knife who demanded his money, according to a UCPD alert. The man then took the money, punched him in the back of the head and fled in an unknown direction.

Police could not provide a full description of the man.

It was not clear whether the incident occurred on or just outside Jackie Robinson Stadium, a UCPD spokesperson said.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.
