Equity, diversity and inclusion office announces advisory board members

UCLA officials announced in a campuswide email Thursday the members of a new student advisory board for the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Jerry Kang asked students to apply for the newly created board in May. The board will help him observe the campus climate and combat incidents of discrimination, according to his May announcement email. Additionally, student advisors will serve as liaisons between administrators and other students and relay information about the board’s initiatives to undergraduate students.

The students were selected because they aimed to change their communities and institutions, according to Kang. Student board members selected are listed below.
